What we offer
Training
Our facilities at Hawkesbury are superb, the training gallops are expertly maintained by the Turf Club. We have daily access to grass gallops, weekly jump outs, a brilliant all weather gallop, schooling jumps and a back track where horses can enjoy pressure fre. Our horses are relaxed in the semi rural setting, making for happy racehorses. Hawkesbury is fast becoming a central training hub for Sydney racing, ideally located to all metropolitan and provincial racetracks.
Pre-Training
Wherever your horse is destined to be trained, we can ensure the important fitness/ education work is done on track at Hawkesbury before going in to full work. We regularly pre-train horses for a number of trainers and clients such as Gerry Harvey, John Sargent & Coolmore Stud. Getting horses as far into their preparation as ready to trial, Ed works closely with each client, ensuring the job is done to their specific needs. The stable uses E-Trakka data technology to help give the ultimate snapshot of their fitness and recovery.
Breaking
Ed breaks-in all yearlings himself. He spends the necessary time with each yearling ensuring the job is 100% complete before signing off. He teaches each yearling how to use themselves athletically under saddle. He is a big believer in spending plenty of time on the ground driving each horse before putting a saddle on, so when it comes to the race track, your yearlings are forward and know their job. Further, Ed will take on external horses in need of some extra time and attention in problem areas such as barriers.
Bloodstock Management & Trade
Ready-to-Run preparations, prepare trade horses, buying and selling bloodstock - Whatever your bloodstock investment endeavour, Ed can assist you. We have plenty of experience in arranging trade deals to international clients, preparing yearlings for Ready to Run sales, broodmare acquisition and sale. We inspect and purchase all our own yearlings, with the help of vet Dr. Gary Baitz.
